Licenses included

The Tekla Partners Program Suite uses named single-user licensing and consists of the following 5 software products:

Tekla PowerFab Office

Tekla PowerFab Office is software for steel fabrication management. Tekla PowerFab Office is the core of the Tekla PowerFab suite and is included in Tekla Partners Program Suite.

Tekla Structural Designer

Tekla Structural Designer is an integrated design & analysis software. Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes Tekla Structural Designer.

Tekla Structures Partner

Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes Tekla Structures Partner. Tekla Structures is a BIM software for structural design and detailing.

The Partner configuration includes the functionality of Tekla Structures Diamond. Tekla Structures Partner configuration produces partner output:

  • Building information models saved with Tekla Structures Partner are partner models that cannot be used for commercial purposes such as modeling, detailing, or fabrication
  • Drawings display a watermark stamp inscribed with Tekla Structures Partner text

Tekla Tedds

Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes Tekla Tedds. Tekla Tedds is an engineering calculation automation software.

Trimble Connect Business Premium

Trimble Connect is a cloud-based collaboration platform with real-time status-sharing. Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes Trimble Connect Business Premium. With that, you have access to full Trimble Connect functionality and Trimble Connect Workflow tools.

For application development

The licensing terms limit the usage of the software only for purposes of application development. It cannot be used for commercial purposes including, but not limited to, modeling, detailing, or fabrication. Read the End-User License Agreement for details.

Price

We charge an annual fee of around 2600€ per Tekla Partners Program Suite license in Europe. The fee in other countries may vary depending on geographical location.

Yearly recurring subscription license

Tekla Partners Program Suite licenses are purchased as a yearly, recurring subscription. The Trimble Identity user account acts as a license key for the software.

The licenses are named single-user licenses. You can find more information from Tekla User Assistance.

Downloading and installing

Download the software products included in Tekla Partners Program Suite from Tekla Downloads.

Installation of Tekla Structures Partner

Once the files are downloaded onto your machine, install the Tekla Structures and the needed local Environments.

When you start Tekla Structures, sign in with your Trimble Identity. Choose the Partner license.

Starting from version 2019, all Tekla Structures installations can be used with a Partner license. If you have Tekla Structures 2019 installed you don't need to install the Partner version separately.

Managing the licenses

The licenses are assigned and managed in the Tekla Online Admin Tool. The organization's administrator assigns and manages the licenses in the Tekla Online Admin Tool. To see who is your organization's Tekla Online administrator, check My Organization.

The software products belonging to the Tekla Partners Program Suite are in the Tekla Online Admin Tool under one name: Tekla Developer Partner. 

The organization's administrator can reassign Tekla Developer Partner licenses from one person to another, as shown in the Tekla User Assistance video.

Prerequisites

Before you can start using your suite and develop your applications, the following prerequisites need to be met:

Internet connection

You need to have an Internet connection to log in to the software.  The workstations need to be able to contact the license server. The internal firewall of your company (for example, a Windows Firewall) must allow communication between the server computer and your computer.  

If your Internet connection is restricted, change your firewall and proxy settings. Proxy settings should allow traffic to/from the following server addresses via both 80 (http) and 443 (https) ports:

Trimble Identity

Starting the software requires authentication, and the authentication is done with a Trimble Identity username and password. If you do not have a Trimble Identity, go to the log-in dialog box. From the Trimble Identity login page, click on Create new Trimble ID.

License

The software requires a valid license. Licenses are tied to users' Trimble Identities.
