Tekla Partners Program Suite consists of the following 5 software licenses:
Tekla EPM (Estimating and Production Management) is software for steel fabrication management. Tekla EPM, formerly known as FabSuite, is the core of the Tekla PowerFab suite and included in Tekla Partners Program Suite for development purposes.
Tekla Structural Designer
Tekla Structural Designer is an integrated design & analysis software. Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes one concurrent license of Tekla Structural Designer.
Tekla Structures Partner
Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes one concurrent license of Tekla Structures Partner. Tekla Structures is a BIM software for structural design and detailing.
The Partner configuration includes the functionality of Tekla Structures Full configuration. Tekla Structures Partner configuration produces partner output:
- Building information models saved with Tekla Structures Partner are partner models that cannot be used for commercial purposes such as modeling, detailing or fabrication
- Drawings display a watermark stamp inscribed with Tekla Structures Partner text
Tekla Tedds is an engineering calculation automation software. Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes one concurrent license of Tekla Tedds.
Trimble Connect Business Premium
Trimble Connect is a cloud-based collaboration platform with real time status-sharing. Your Tekla Partners Program Suite subscription includes one license of Trimble Connect Business Premium. With one license you have access to full Trimble Connect functionality and Trimble Connect Workflow tools.
For application development
The licensing terms limit the usage of the software only for purposes of application development. It cannot be used for commercial purposes including, but not limited to, modeling, detailing, or fabrication. Read the End-User License Agreement for details.
We charge an annual fee of around 2500€ per Tekla Partners Program Suite license in Europe. The fee in other countries may vary depending on geographical location.
Yearly recurring subscription license
Tekla Partners Program Suite licenses are purchased as a yearly, recurring subscription. Trimble Identity user account acts as license key for the software.
Tekla Structures Partner, Tekla EPM, Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer uses concurrent floating licensing. The license server will regulate the number of license that are allowed to run concurrently.
Downloading and installing
Download the software included in Tekla Partners Program Suite from Tekla Downloads.
Installation of Tekla Structures Partner
Starting from version 2019, all Tekla Structures installations can be used with Partner license. If you have Tekla Structures 2019 installed you don't need to install the Partner version separately.
Once you have the files downloaded on to your machine install first the Tekla Structures and then the needed local Environments.
When you start Tekla Structures 2019 or later for the first time, choose the option Use your Tekla online license and click Ok. Log in with your Trimble Identity. The start-up dialog box shows the configurations that are available for you.
Releasing a license for another users in Tekla Structures Partner
Unselect "Stay signed in" and close Tekla Structures Partner to release a license when you stop using Tekla Structures Partner. Read more.
Managing the licenses
The licenses included in Tekla Partners Program Suite are assigned and managed in the Tekla Online Admin Tool. The organization's administrator assigns and manages the licenses in the Tekla Online Admin Tool. To see who is your organization's Tekla Online administrator, check My Organization.
Organization's administrator can transfer licenses from one person to another, so the same license can be used by different people as the projects progress and resource needs change. If you do not have enough free licence seats for all users who try to use the software at the same time, some users attempting to join see a message that all license seats are reserved.
Before you can start using your suite and develop your applications, the following prerequisites need to be met:
You need to have an Internet connection in order to log in to software. The workstations need to be able to contact the license server. The internal firewall of your company (for example, Windows Firewall) must allow the communication between the server computer and your computer.
If your Internet connection is restricted, change your firewall and proxy settings. Proxy settings should allow traffic to/from following server addresses via both 80 (http) and 443 (https) ports:
Starting the software require authentication, and the authentication is done with Trimble Identity username and password. If you do not have a Trimble Identity, go to the log in dialog box. From the Trimble Identity login page, click on the Create new Trimble ID.
The software requires a valid license. Licenses are tied to users' Trimble Identities.
