This page explains the terms by which you may use Tekla APIs. The short English summary below is just a summary and doesn’t capture all of the terms. Please ensure you read also the full length agreements. You can find the License Agreements at the bottom of this page.
MONETIZATION
You can develop Tekla Structures, Tekla PowerFab, Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer applications for your own use. However, if you want to distribute and sell those applications for third parties you will need to be member of Tekla Partners Program.
Note that Trimble Connect applications are for internal use only.
TEKLA PARTNERS PROGRAM
Trimble may grant or reject your application to join Tekla Partners Program. Participation in the Tekla Partners Program is subject to payment of the annual fee in accordance with Trimble’s price list.
USAGE OF TEKLA PARTNERS PROGRAM SUITE
The licensing terms limit the usage of Tekla software included in the Tekla Partners Program Suite only for application and BIM content development purposes: software can not be used for commercial purposes including, but not limited to, modeling, detailing, or fabrication.
IPR
You will own the intellectual property rights of your application and related documentation. However, you will grant Trimble a license to utilize your application, for example, to further develop Tekla software products and services.
PATENTS
You must grant licenses to your patents to Trimble or any third party desiring such a license on fair and reasonable terms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trimble is not responsible for applications you develop. You are solely responsible for any claims that may arise relating to your application.
