Integrating with Trimble Connect

In this guide, we will go through the steps you will need to take when planning to integrate with the different Trimble Connect APIs.

Trimble Connect API is a set of different APIs

Trimble Connect is a cloud-based platform that connects the right people to the right constructible data, at the right time. Trimble Connect public APIs enable customers to integrate the platform into their systems. 

Trimble Connect API is a set of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that allow communication with Trimble Connect servers and web and desktop clients.

First, get familiar with the Trimble Connect product with a Trial: https://www.trimble.com/en/products/trimble-connect.

By joining the Tekla Partners Program, you will be able to purchase an affordable Tekla Partners Program Suite.

The suite includes a Trimble Connect Business Premium, along with other Tekla software for development.

Getting the Trimble Connect API credentials

Once you have familiarized yourself with the Trimble Connect, .NET SDK,  API References, and code examples and feel ready to start leveraging the Trimble Connect APIs, you will need to request API credentials unique to your organization and connected application. 

Note that every application needs its API credentials. This helps us to help you if you have any issues with your integration.

Get your credentials via the Trimble Connect Integrator Sign-up

To get the API credentials, navigate to the Trimble Connect Integrator page. Read the instructions and fill out the online form to request new credentials.
