In this Tekla Open API code example the user selects the shape of an item and inserts it to the model. If no shape is selected, the application inserts a beam to the model.

After downloading the TSOpenAPIExamples package from GitHub (button above), find ShapeCatalog example at \Model\Applications\ShapeCatalog.
